We're the family behind Slugger Pest Control, proudly serving the community that we call home.

Slugger Pest Control was founded by Colton Shaver and his father-in-law, Doug Brown

—a duo driven by a shared vision and strong family values.

Colton spent six years playing professional baseball, competing in the minor leagues with both the Houston Astros and the Toronto Blue Jays. When it came time to hang up his cleats, he turned his focus to building something lasting off the field.

With Doug’s entrepreneurial spirit and Colton’s drive, they teamed up to launch a company they had talked about for years—one rooted in hard work, trust, and service.

​The name Slugger Pest Control is a nod to Colton’s baseball roots and the same grit and precision he brought to the game. Now, he's bringing that same energy to protecting homes and families.

In 2024, Colton and his wife welcomed their first child—Doug’s first grandchild—which sparked a deeper motivation to build a family business that could grow for generations. Slugger Pest Control was born from that dream: a local, family- owned business built on dedication, teamwork, and protecting families—just like theirs.
